Helen "Sex and the Single Girl"(1962) ve “Sex in the Office” (1966) gibi kitapları kaleme aldığında 90'ların ünlü TV karakteri Carrie daha portakalda vitamin bile değildi. Helen Gurley Brown, the editor who skyrocketed the sales figures of Cosmpolitan back in 1965 when the magazine was financially struggling, passed away at the age of 90. With book titles like "Sex and the Single Girl"(1962) and “Sex in the Office” (1966), Helen must have been smiling smugly and thinking "been there, done that" while watching Carrie Bradshaw on TV. Although her "tips" to women were frowned upon by the feminists of the era, some argue her ideas to be in fact quite in line with the feminist ideals. For a more detailed read, go here.
