Spring Summer Footwear Trends Vol:3 - Plexiglass Details

This season is all about transparency and plexiglass details can be found in all accessories. Be sure to get a pair of heels, a bag or bangles. Here are some choices.I personally prefer the plexiglass in the heels because the thought of clear plastic touching my skin in the summer is completely unbearable. Which one would you pick? Anya Ziourova (Who's Who Vol. 004)

Anya Ziourova is the coolest of the Russian fashion pack, which includes names like Miroslava Duma (the cute one),  Elena Perminova (the amazingly long legs one), Vika Gazinskaya (the quirky designer one), Ulyana Sergeenko (the just-popped-out-of-a-Tolstoy-novel designer). 

Anya has an amazing figure and gorgeous cheekbones/skin/eyes as well as the confidence to go sans-make-up in a life full of super-models. Starting her career at American Vogue, she went on to Japanese Vogue and Chinese Vogue, she is now the Fashion Director of the Russian Tatler and Creative Fashion Consultant of the Russian Allure. She has an amazing eye for mixing and matching colors and prints and a daring sense of style that doesn't shy away from new shapes and new emerging designers. What I love the most about her is the ease in which she rocks a simple gray GAP t-shirt and an off-the-runway Givenchy dress in the same non-chalant air about her.

Miroslava Duma (şirin olan), Elena Perminova (inanılmaz uzun bacaklı olan), Vika Gazinskaya (sıradışı tasarımları ve saç kesimi olan) ve Ulyana Sergeenko (Tolstoy karakterini andıran tasarımcı) ise tayfanın diğer üyeleri. 

Çıkık elmacık kemikleri, muhteşem bir cilt ve gözleri ile Anya süpermodellerle dolu bir gündelik yaşam içerisinde sürekli sıfır makyaj ile gezebilecek kadar özgüven sahibi. Kariyerine Amerikan Vogue'unda başlayıp Vogue Japonya ve Çin'de çalıştı. Şimdi ise Tatler Rusya Moda direktörü ve Allure Rusya Yaratıcı Moda Tasarımcısı (bir gün benim de böyle bir ünvanım olur mu acaba?) Renk ve desenleri karıştırmakta üzerine yok ve farklı kesimlerden korkmuyor. Onu en cool yapan ise gri bir GAP t-shirt ile podyumdan inmiş bir Givenchy elbiseyi aynı rahatlık ve umursamaz tavır ile taşıyabilmesi. 

This Emilio Pucci jacket is absolutely gorgeous. I'm so surprised that I haven't seen it on anybody else so far. Think about how you would style this jacket yourself... I believe most of us would go for all black. Scroll down to see what Anya has paired it with... 

These Isabel Marant jeans are just amazing.

This Celine sweater is absolutely to die for! The heels look like Azzadine Alaia.

Notice how the shape of the dress and the shoes complement each other. A bit too matchy matchy for Anya but still a great outfit nevertheless.

She really likes the leopard print and this is one of the classiest ones ever.

Pairing an overtly embellished jacket with Current Elliot zebra jeans and embellished Alaias? Only Anya could pull this off and look this cool. 

A red jumpsuit for day with leopard belt for the day time? No problem.

What an amazing coat. It must be Celine. That Givenchy bag is cute too. However, she usually carries just a cell phone with her. Usually carrying 8 lb bags on any given day, I'm just amazed at women like this.

Shoesday Vol. 002 - Leopard Paws

80'lerde büyümüş bir çocuk olarak uzun yıllar leopar deseni ile arama mesafe koydum. Son bir kaç yılda ise bazıları beni inceden sarmaya başladı. Bu sevda yaşlanmanın 10 işareti arasına rahatlıkla girer sanırım. Leopar deseni bence özellikle aksesuarda rahatlıkla kullanılabilecek bir desen ve nötr renklerle kombinleri eforsuz şıklık yaratıyor. Ama bugün tüm bu dediklerimin tersini yaparak cart kırmızı bir pantolonu, leopar deseni ayakkabılar ve gömlekle kombinledim. Ne diyebilirim ki, kendime bile muhalefetim bazen.

As a product of growing up in the 80's, I have been quite skeptical towards leopard print anything. However, in the last couple of years, jungle fever caught up with me. This love of animal prints may be amongst the first 10 tell-tale signs of aging.  Leopard print is especially fun and easy to use in accessories and helps create eye catching but simple outfits when styled with neutral colors. However, I went ahead and did the exact opposite of this and paired my bright red jeans with leopard ballerina flats and a leopard print blouse. Such a rebel I am.

Give Me Wings

Cuma akşamı Erykah Badu'nun konser boyunca inatla bileğinden çıkarmadığı kanat formundaki bileklikleri google'layınca Erykah'nın aslında aksesuarlarda kanatlara takıntılı olduğunu gördüm. Sonunda bilekliklerin tasarımcısına ulaştım; Lorraine Natasha West. Süper kahramanlara yaraşır kişiye özel tasarımlarının yanısıra günlük kullanıma uygun takıları da var. Özellikle küpelerini çok sevdim.

I just had to google the wing cuffs Erykah Badu wore at the Istanbul concert last Friday and luckily I stumbled upon the designer of these super-human cuffs; Lorraine Natasha West. Apart from amazing custom-design items, she designs some gorgeous day-to-day jewellery that I loved, especially earrings.

Erykah'nın kanatlara karşı bir zaafı var sanırım. Lorraine'in blogunda iki tane daha kanat formlu bileklik var. Bunları gerçekten çok sevdim. Özellikle pirinçten yapılan ve bir zırhı anımsatanlar muhteşem. Siyah tek omuzlu düz uzun bir (tercihen Tom Ford) elbiseyle muhteşem olmazlar mıydı?

It seems that Erykah has a thing for wings, especially when it comes to accessories. Lorraine created two wing shaped cuffs of gigantic size for Badu. I loved these even more. The one made of brass reminds me of Grecian gods' armor. Wouldn't they be amazing with a one-shoulder long black dress, like a little Tom Ford number?

Başka bir konser esnasında kullandığı şu küpelere bakar mısınız? Bazı yerlerde kendi tasarımı olduğu ve 2010 yılında üretime geçeceği yazıyor ama bulamadım. Bir tutam Alexander McQueen ve bir nebze Givenchy tadı aldım ben. Kulak memenizin yırtılması uğruna takar mıydınız?

Also check out these EarWings that she wore during another concert. She rocks them hard. I couldn't find out who makes them but some online sources say that they are her own design and she would have them produced for sale in 2010. They have a feel of Alexander McQueen and Givenchy. Would you dare wear them and risk your earlobes to be torn?

Elie Saab

İşçiliği ve romantik tarzı her zaman taze ve zamansız. Alttaki parçalar ise hem içimdeki prenses olmak isteyen küçük kızı, hem de temiz çizgileri seven modern kadıncığı fazlasıyla mutlu ediyor.

Always fresh and timeless clean romanticism in couture collections. The pieces below satisfy the females in me; thegirlie who wants to be a fairy princess and the modern woman who loves clean lines and subtle suggestions.

Armani Prive

Armani prive meraklısı hiç olmadım ama bu elbise ile Met'te Phantom of the Opera'ya gitmeyi hayal ettim. Peçemsi şeyi ise Arap'lara ve onların bol petrodolarlarına bırakıyorum.

I never had much of a thing for Armani Prive, but I can imagine myself going to the Met with this, minus the veil. Save that for petrodollars of the opulent Arabs. The collection has so many of them.

Chanel
Chanel defilesinden sadece 2 (yazıyla iki) parçayı beğendiğim için moda tanrıları beni taş yapacakmış gibi hissediyorum ama Karl'ın yeti koleksiyonunu hatırladıkça kendimden şühe etmemeye başlıyorum. Seçimlerimden ilki klasik Chanel ruhuna uygun (tabii ki çorapları hemencecik yok edeceksiniz). İkinci elbiseyi de verseler giyerim yani, çirkin değil, hem de mankenden daha mutlu görünürdüm eminim.
Liking just two pieces from the Chanel couture show makes me feel like and idiot. But then again, I remember the Chanel Yeti's from not so long ago and I feel reassured of myself. The first look is a classic Chanel two piece, minus the hideous socks. The second gown, I would wear if I had it, it's certainly not ugly, though I'd probably look happier than this model.

Givenchy

Bu koleksiyon ile kelimenin tam anlamıyla masal alemine gittim, ama bu Sindirella gibi bir alem değil. Daha çok Yüzüklerin Efendisi, Narnia ve Labyrinth karışımı bir dünya ve hiç bir şey şeker pembesi değil. Kadınlar kurtarılmayı bekleyen güzeller değil, hikayenin güçlü ve korkusuz kahramanları. Özellikle üçüncü görünümde Orta Çağ'larda vatanından ayrılarak Kuzey Avrupa'ya sefere çıkmış bir Afrika kraliçesini hayal ediyorum. Tarih nasıl değişirdi, değil mi?
This collection has just transferred me into a fairy tale world, but not one in which Cindirella resides. It's more of a combination of Lord of the Rings, Narnia and Labyrinth, dark and moody, absolutely nothing is in candy colors. The women in this world are hardly Damsels in Distress, but rather the strong, independent, brave heroes. Especially in the third look, I imagine an African Queen who has gone on a "crusade" to Norther Europe. How that would have changed the course of our history...

Christian Dior
Büyük bir süpriz ile Jil Sander'dan ayrılan Raf Simons'ın Christian Dior'daki ilk defilesinden tahminimden çok parçayı beğendim. Galliano'nun Hitler ile ilgili gafından sonra Dior'dan ayrılması ile teatral defilelerden uzaklaşan Christian Dior couture koleksiyonu son derece giyilebilir ve modern olmuş. Oysa ki Raf Simons'ın çıkış noktası 1947'lerdeki New Look silüeti. Aşağıdaki her kıyafeti 5 dakika düşünmeden giyebilirim. Sadece 5. sıradaki ceket ve kemerin altına kalem etek tercih ederdim.
I liked quite a few pieces from Raf Simons' first couture show at Chirstian Dior after leaving Jil Sander. The collection is made up of entirely wearable clothes after Galliano's mandatory leave from Christian Dior following his remarks on Hitler. Simons' modern and practical Christian Dior is far from Galliano's theatricality and yet takes roots from Dior's New Look silhoutte in 1947. I would wear all of the following outfits in a blink, maybe with the switch of a pencil skirt instead of a full skirt in the 5th look.

Jean Paul Gaultier

Couture haftasında Karlie Kloss'un tüm giydiklerini beğenmem ne anlama geliyor acaba? Marifet hangisinde? Beyaz elbise ise tarif edilemez bir biçimde gönlümü çaldı.
I liked every piece Karlie Kloss wore during the couture week. Is it the dress or the model?  And the white number just stole my heart.

Alexis Mabille

Alexis Mabille ismini ilk duyuşum. Koleksiyonundan beğenecek bir parça bulabilmek için çok uğraştım. Belinde ve kafasındaki şeylere hiç anlam veremesem de Gwenyth Paltrow'un Oscar törenlerine giydiği Tom Ford elbiseyi hatırlattı bana, sanırım ondan sevdim.

Last AND least, there was a person who went by the name of Alexis Mabille, who I think joked us all. This is the only piece that I would put on, it's sort of reminescent of Gwenyth's Tom Ford look at the Oscars, minus that meaningless thing on her waist and top of her head.
