Evet, New York Moda Haftası bitti ve Londra başladı ama New York'tan kalan favorilerimden bahsetmezsem olmaz. Özellikle de Proenza Schouler ve Altuzarra'yı asla es geçemezdim.
Yeap, New York Fashion Week is so over and London is now full on but I just had to share the second part of my NYFW favorites. Especially Proenza Schouler and Altuzarra are absolutely fantastic.

Altuzarra is one of my absolute favorites from the last few seasons (it's actually a pretty young brand) and Joseph Altuzarra has just made looking cool and comfortable a thousand times easier with the jackets resting on our shoulders with a perfect ease. There are actually slit underneath the armpits of each jacket. These jacket/poncho type covers will make sure that you'll strut like a Vogue editor instead of a Turkish swashbuckler. The blue and white striped men's shirts are waiting to be DIY'ed, guys protect your wardrobe and the tassels are pretty, moms protect your curtains. The amazingly meaningless yet gorgeous sandal/knee length boots are to die as well as easy-to-wear. Thanks for making our lives easier Joseph.

Michael Kors is one of the masters of sporty American chic along with Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. He based his collection on block primary colors. While the 60's buckles and the strong tone of the red he used (not shown) irritate me, I love the yellow pieces, bright and fun. (See more of the Yellow Fever trend here.) As all designers are using digital prints in the last couple of seasons, Michael must have felt compelled to jump on the bandwagon. The sky and pool prints are OK but nothing spectacular. But the long black dresses with the smartest cut-outs ever are completely drool-worthy. The plexiglass accessories and clear details on shoes are amaze-balls. of course, Karlie Kloss is the definition of cool, making each piece she wears an instant hit. (Remember the one-shoulder red and pink Lanvin dress with the belt. )

I'm just loving Milly's pastel colors and sportswear inspired details. The transparent jackets, silver leather skirts with snakeskin effects and fishnet tops are completely awesome to style with. Such a young and fun collection.

Nanette Lepore has worked the transparent and "new lace" trends as well. I prefer the monochromatic white and black clothes instead of the more colorful ones.
Narciso Rodriguez yine tam kendisinden beklediğim tarzda ultra seksi ama maskülen bir koleksiyon sundu. İlk elbiselerin yakalarındaki mimari görünümlü pencereler tam kıvamında. Askılı elbiselerin rahatlığı ve modernliği harika. Elbiselere eklediği kumaş panelleri oldukça dikkat çekici. Ve son olarak kullandığı kuş desenleri ise muhteşem.
Narciso Rodriguez' collection is as sexy as I expected from him and yet ultra masculine. The architectural cut-outs in front of the first dresses are done just right. The lightweight strappy dresses are grounded by the impeccable placement of solid color blocks. And as for prints, he slams that department, too. That bird print is absolutely gorgeous.

My vocabulary is insufficient for describing Proenza Schouler's latest collection. Even the greasy hair looks of the models could not cool me off. Almost all of the pieces are made with what looks like a modern patchwork technique which creates a mood of a mad-woman cutting up her clothes and sewing them back together with remorse. In the opening part of the collection, we saw boxy perforated leather separates. As amazing as these jackets and skirts were, I want to focus on the more detailed colorful and mixed pieces, fitting better with the mad-woman aesthetic.The leather patches are used on these pieces too. I could die for the two skirts in the first outfits, and I love their tops as well. The following flowy dresses in the next pictures give off a romantic 70's vibe and yet remain completely contemporary and adult-like with the prints and cut-up-and-sewn-back-together look. The digital print dresses and separates are made with a similar technique and create a light refraction effect seen underwater. How awesome is that? I can't wait for the "inspired" version of these dresses.

All my picks from Rachel Zoe are completely monochromatic and floor sweeping. I would wear them to death even if they are not too original. They are perfect for an urban summer.
