Future Classic: Grid - Windowpane Print

Grid, or windowpane print, whatever you call it, has been strong for the past two seasons. It's a fresh clean and photography friendly look and I think it is here to stay as a future classic just like sailor stripes and polka-dots because it can be interpreted in so many different ways, colors, sizes, etc.  Below are some of my  favorites from various street style sources around the net. What do you think about this trend, is a future classic or already a passe? 

Spring Summer Footwear Trends Vol:4 - Metallica

Metallics are the new neutrals. They go with absolutely everything. For instance, the Dries Van Noten slingbacks below could save any summer outfit. I need them. The Christian Dior's are definitely the it-shoe of the season. The Fendi ones are totally adorable with their cubic design and cotton-candy colors. And since they are considered neutrals, you can also go wild with designs like Aperlai's towering wooden heels, Camilla Skovgaard's futuristic design and Alexander McQueen and Vikto&Rolf's extravagant shapes 8just imagine driving with those babies!). Proenza Schouler's heels are once again fantastic, while Rebecca Minkoff has made an extremely tame version.

Spring Summer Footwear Trends Vol:3 - Plexiglass Details

This season is all about transparency and plexiglass details can be found in all accessories. Be sure to get a pair of heels, a bag or bangles. Here are some choices.I personally prefer the plexiglass in the heels because the thought of clear plastic touching my skin in the summer is completely unbearable. Which one would you pick? Givenchy, Andrew Kayla, Sophia Webster, Charlotte Olympia or Stuart Weitzman?

Spring Summer Footwear Trends Vol:2 - Ankle Straps

Continuing with Spring Summer 2013 trends in footwear, make sure to buy a lot of cropped trousers and roll up your jeans this year because you will want to showcase your new heels with ankle straps. Those of us with the thin ankles are so lucky. Yet, there are so many varieties that you can be sure to find one that suits you. 

The thicker and higher the straps are really modern and give even floral dresses and edge while the thinner straps will suit more elegant outfits. My favorites are by Blonda Castana, Emporio Armani (love the sleek lines), Aquazurra (the pineapple detail is amazing), Arfango, Vionnet, SW1 by Stuart Weitzman, Casadei and Vionnet (never imagined pearls could look so modern). I also threw in a Charlotte Olympia for those who prefer platform models. On a last note, ankle straps divide the leg, hence making your legs look shorter, so proceed with caution. You may want to opt for nude colored straps.

Platformlu modelleri sevenler için bir de Charlotte Olympia ekledim. Son bir not olarak, biliyorsunuz bilekteki bantlar bacağı böldüğü için, bacak boyunuzu kısa gösterebilirler,o yüzden dikkatli olmakta fayda var. Bu durumda ten rengi bantlıları tercih edebilirsiniz.  

 

Spring Summer Footwear Trends Vol:1 - Snakeskin

Nothing excites me in fashion as much as shoes, so I decided to dedicate the next few posts to footwear trends for Spring Summer 2013. Don't go shoe shopping without reading them. The first strongest trend that will grace our feet will be snakeskin. They come in a variety of forms, iridescent, metallic, tie-dye, black&white and neon. And, they are mostly faux snakeskin, so don't worry. To me, snakeskin is a neutral, no matter how wild it looks, it goes with almost everything. So be sure to snatch a pair soon. My favorites are by Alejandro Ingelmo, Isa Tapia, Jean Michel Cazabat, Edmundo Castillo, Arfango and Aquazurra. Which ones do you like?

Fall Winter 2013 Trend: Loose Leather Trousers

Come next winter, we'll all be dying to find a pair of loose fitting leather pants / trousers. They are not your last season's leather skinnies. They will be much much cooler but a little bit harder to style. My suggestion is to pair it with pointy heels. Keep your eye open for a flattering pair. Runway looks from Rebecca Minkoff, Herve Leger and Proenza Schouler. Fall Winter 2013 Trend: Beanies

From the look of the runways and fashion week street style snapshots, it looks like next winter, we'll all be sporting beanies. They will even be style with high heels and fur. Any ideas on how to keep your hair shape and volume? I'm guessing that those unfortunate souls like me with ultra fine hair will have to keep their beanies on all day. On the other hand, you won't have to wash your have every single day, say goodbye to bad hair days :)

Trend Alert - White Out

Eğer siz de benim gibi indirim sezonunda alışverişten uzak duramıyorsanız, en azından zamansız parçalar alın. Resort 2013 koleksiyonlarında baştan aşağı beyaz silüetler bence tam da bu türden. Ne var ne yok hepsini taradım. Benim en çok hoşuma giden bol dökümlü pantolon ceketler ve yerleri süpüren elbiseler. Özellikle uzun boylulara tavsiye ederim, minyonlar ise minik beyaz elbiseleri tercih edebilirler.

If you are like me and you cannot stay away from sales, spend your dough wisely and invest in all white silhouettes, especially suits. You wont't be sorry. Here are all my picks from Resort 2013. My favorites are the comfy flowing pants with soft jackets, or the floor sweeping dresses, recommended especially for the tall gals, while petites can favor the little white dresses.
